The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Friday suspended the driver’s license of a content creator for 90 days following a viral video showing her allegedly engaging in reckless and irresponsible driving.

The LTO issued a Show Cause Order to Cherrylyn Larga Gonzaga, also known as “Cherry White,” after a video surfaced online showing her “casual or lounging posture with one leg raised onto the driver’s seat” while operating a vehicle.

Acting Assistant Secretary and LTO chief Greg G. Pua, Jr., earlier said that Gonzaga's actions could have led to an accident and posed a danger not only to her life but also to others.

"This personality has a strong following on social media and the video showing her unsafe driving practice is dangerous since it could be misinterpreted that it is okay to do that,"

According to the order, Gonzaga is required to appear before the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division on July 16, 2025, and submit a written explanation as to why her license should not be revoked and why she should not be charged with reckless driving under Republic Act 4136.

Due to the seriousness of the violation, her license has been preventively suspended for 90 days, and she has been ordered to surrender her license to the LTO before the scheduled hearing date.

"In view of the seriousness of this violation, your driver’s license is hereby placed under preventive suspension for a period of ninety (90) days effective immediately, and you are ordered to surrender your driver’s license to this Office prior to the scheduled hearing," LTO said.

In addition, the vehicle that was used in the video has been placed under alarm status, restricting any transactions involving the vehicle while the case is under investigation.

"Failure on your part to comply with this Order shall be construed as a waiver of your right to be heard and the case shall be decided based on available evidence," the LTO warned.

Meanwhile, in a now-deleted Facebook post, the content creator issued a statement following the LTO’s announcement of her license suspension, apologized for her actions, and made a lewd remark.

“[S]orry na mag eebike nalang ako nadali ako labas kasi bulbulll ko e,” she wrote on Friday, July 11.

The agency further deemed her behavior as endangering the safety of other road users.

"As a licensed driver and vehicle owner, it is your duty to drive safely and responsibly. Any behavior that puts the lives of others at risk, regardless of intent, is unacceptable," LTO reminded the motorists.
