Yap added that the city government is closely monitoring the operation and coordinating with concerned agencies to ensure that the retrieval is carried out properly and as quickly as possible.

A section of Agana Bridge collapsed on Saturday night, August 29, amid strong currents in the Tarlac River following heavy rains and flooding.

Meanwhile, a section of Aquino Bridge was swept away by strong floodwaters on Friday.

The SUV was carrying five passengers when it plunged from Agana Bridge. One passenger survived and managed to reach safety on the night of the incident.

The bodies of two other passengers were later found in separate areas of Pangasinan, while two remain missing.

Search, rescue, and retrieval operations continue as authorities work to locate the two missing passengers and recover the vehicle.
