President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved the distribution of the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to eligible government employees for fiscal year 2024.

Under Administrative Order No. 27, eligible recipients include teachers as well as military and uniformed personnel, each set to receive P20,000.

"The administration recognizes all government employee for their collective and invaluable contributions to the government's continuing efforts in pursuing the objectives, commitments, targets and deliverables under the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 and the President's 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda," the AO read.

Disbursement of the SRI for eligible government employees is set to begin on December 15.

The one-time SRI will be granted to civilian employees in national government agencies (NGAs), as well as members of the military, police, fire, and jail services under the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

It will also include personnel from the Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard, and National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman announced that public school teachers, along with military and uniformed personnel, will each receive an SRI amounting to PHP20,000.

Meanwhile, other government employees will be granted the incentive at a uniform rate of up to PHP20,000.

The incentive will be granted to those who have completed at least four months of satisfactory government service as of November 30, and are still employed in government.

Employees who have rendered less than four months of satisfactory service by that date will receive a pro-rated amount.

Additionally, local water districts may extend the incentive to their employees at a uniform rate, as determined by their respective boards of directors.

The said order will take effect immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
