The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said it will issue a show-cause order against a transport network vehicle service (TNVS) driver over a social media post involving actress Xyriel Manabat with an allegedly offensive and sexualized caption.
LTFRB board member Greg Pua said the agency has already identified both the driver and the operator involved.
“Bukod po sa pagsuspinde ng TNC (Transport Network Company), ang LTFRB ay maglalabas ng show-cause order po dito sa driver na ‘to,” Pua said in a briefing.
“Na-identify na po natin kung sino ‘yung driver, sino ‘yung operator. Within the day, we will issue the necessary show-cause order,” he added.
The LTFRB said the order will be issued on April 10, following the identification of the parties involved. The agency is also considering action against the transport network company (TNC) linked to the driver.
The case stemmed from a circulated social media post featuring a photo of content creator Boss Toyo Mansi with Manabat, which carried remarks that allegedly sexualized the actress. The account has since been deleted, but screenshots continue to circulate online.
Authorities said the incident is now under investigation as part of the LTFRB’s ongoing monitoring of conduct involving public transport service providers.
