Cavite 4th District Rep. Kiko Barzaga returned to the House of Representatives plenary sessions on Monday, May 4, following his suspension.
In a social media update, Barzaga said, “We are back in the crocodile farm. Tingnan niyo ang daming mga buwaya, ang daming mga magnanakaw.”
“But we are back and ready to attack. We’ll bring justice into this corrupt system and we will bring justice to the Filipino people,” he added.
Barzaga’s return comes after his second 60-day suspension, from December 1, 2025, to January 30, 2026, after the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges cited violations of the House rules on decorum and ethical conduct. The lawmaker had previously stated that he would stay at home and bond with his pets during the suspension.
Last month, Barzaga voluntarily surrendered at the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station after the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 147 issued an arrest warrant against him for eight counts of cyberlibel.
However, the lawmaker posted bail the same night and was released around 10:25 PM, the Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) confirmed.
