The observance of Undas 2026 at Manila North Cemetery was generally peaceful, with no reported incidents of theft or other major crimes, according to the Manila Police District (MPD).

Police Lt. Col. Jolliet Soriano, MPD Station 3 and Ground Commander of the cemetery’s security deployment, said the only incidents reported to authorities involved children who had gone missing or become separated from their companions inside the cemetery, according to RH Tina Nolasco's report on MBC TV Network News.

Soriano said no cases of pickpocketing, theft, or other major crimes were recorded inside and outside the cemetery during the observance.

“Maituturing natin na isang payapang seguridad kahapon ang naisagawa natin sapagkat wala man tayong na-entertain na nag-report sa atin na nadukutan o mayroong kakaibang krimen na inassist ng ating mga kapulisan maliban lang doon sa may nawala, naliligaw,” Soriano said.

Meanwhile, a total of 21 children were reported missing but were later found inside Manila North Cemetery during the observance on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

According to Tan, the children who went missing were those who did not have the cemetery’s wristband tagging system, which helps authorities identify and locate children who become separated from their families.

Police and cemetery personnel continued to monitor the area and assist visitors throughout the observance.
