Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s camp has declined to comment on the one-week ultimatum and P50 million reward for his arrest.
“Sa lahat po ng nagre-request ng comment sa kampo ni Senator Ronald Dela Rosa tungkol sa 1-week ultimatum kay Sen. Dela Rosa para sumuko at ang P50-M pabuya para sa makapagturo sa kaniya,” Atty. Israelito Torreon, dela Rosa’s legal counsel, said in a social media post Friday, October 23.
“Ito po ang aming Comment: No Comment,” he added.
Earlier on Friday, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced that the agency is offering a P50 million bounty for the senator’s arrest. RH Edniel Parrosa reported that authorities, who now consider dela Rosa “armed and dangerous,” will form a dedicated team to locate and arrest him.
Moreover, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. gave dela Rosa one week to surrender.
Dela Rosa is facing an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC), where he was named a co-perpetrator in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s crimes against humanity case in connection with the war on drugs.
In May 2026, dela Rosa appeared before the Senate to cast his vote to elect Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate president.
He left the Senate premises after a few days and has been in hiding ever since.
