The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has shown the detention cell that will accommodate Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the detained religious leader and founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), once he is moved to the new Quezon City jail.
According to BJMP Spokesperson Inspector Jayrex Bustinera, no "VIP" treatment will be given to any Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in any BJMP facility. This statement follows the possibility that Quiboloy may be transferred to the new Quezon City jail.
PNP Spokesperson PCol. Jean Fajardo clarified yesterday that the final decision on whether Quiboloy will be transferred from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center depends on the forthcoming decisions and directives from the two courts that issued the arrest warrant against him.
Nevertheless, according to Bustinera, they have already cleaned the cells in preparation for the possible transfer. Inside the detention cells, there are double-deck beds, monoblock chairs, tables, and sinks.
There are no other PDLs inside the supposed designated cells, but they are adjacent to the cells of other inmates.
The QC Regional Trial Court 106 (RTC) has ordered that Quiboloy and Crisente Canada be transferred to the new QC jail, while the three other individuals are to be moved to the female dormitory at Camp Karingal.
