Malacañang said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains focused on his duties despite his net satisfaction rating dropping from “neutral” to “poor” in the third quarter, based on a recent survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro made the statement during a press briefing with the Philippine media delegation in Singapore on October 9, 2026.

Castro stressed that the President’s work is not affected by survey results, regardless of whether his ratings increase or decline.

“Kahit kailan, kahit ano pang survey firm, tumaas, bumaba, hindi naaapektuhan ang Pangulo. Tuloy-tuloy ang pagtatrabaho. Hindi nagbabakasyon, nagtatrabaho,” Castro said.

She maintained that Marcos continues to perform his responsibilities regardless of public satisfaction ratings.
