President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating fell to -11 in September from -7 in June, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Thursday.
The Sept. 21-27 survey found that 35% of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, down from 38% in June, while 46% were dissatisfied, compared with 45% previously. Those undecided rose to 20% from 17%.

The resulting net satisfaction rating of -11, calculated by subtracting dissatisfaction from satisfaction, was classified as “poor” by SWS. It was four points lower than June’s rating but remained above Marcos’ record low of -15 in March.
The decline was recorded in most major areas. Net satisfaction fell 11 points in Balance Luzon to zero, 10 points in the Visayas to -13, and three points in Metro Manila to -27. In Mindanao, it improved by 14 points to -21.
The survey also found that 47% of Filipinos had heard or read about Marcos’ July 27 State of the Nation Address, while 53% had not.
Social media and other online platforms were the leading source of information about the speech, cited by 27% of respondents. Another 15% heard about it on television, while 12% watched it live on TV.
Among those aware of the address, 26% found Marcos’ description of the country’s condition believable, while 37% considered it unbelievable. Another 37% said the believable and unbelievable parts were equal.
The resulting net believability score was -11, down eight points from -3 in September 2025.
Despite the differences in awareness, Marcos’ net satisfaction rating was -11 among both those who had heard or read about the address and those who had not, SWS said.
The survey covered 1,500 adults nationwide through face-to-face interviews. It had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points for national estimates and was conducted on SWS’ own initiative.
