The Northeast Monsoon, locally known as Amihan, is affecting extreme Northern Luzon on Tuesday, March 3, according to PAGASA.
In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the agency said that Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by easterlies.
As of this writing, no low-pressure area is being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
PAGASA also said on Monday that a tropical storm is expected to enter the country this March, which will be named 'Caloy'.
