A tropical storm, to be named ‘Caloy’, is expected to enter the country this March, according to PAGASA.
The weather bureau said the likelihood of a tropical cyclone forming is high, particularly as its entry point is projected to be the eastern part of Mindanao.
PAGASA added that the storm’s eye could potentially make landfall in Caraga, Visayas, and Palawan. Forecasts for the period from February to July indicate that the country may experience between 4 to 11 tropical cyclones this year.
Today, Metro Manila and other remaining areas of the country can expect cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, a result of prevailing easterly winds.
