In response to the Supreme Court's decision to block the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, various progressive groups united to hold a rally in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, August 5.
These groups argued that the Supreme Court violated the Constitution by obstructing Congress's ability to determine whether the impeachment process should proceed. They called on the Supreme Court to reconsider its ruling regarding Vice President Duterte.
On Monday, August 4, the House of Representatives' prosecution team filed a motion for reconsideration regarding this case.
While in a video shared by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, he emphasized that this is an essential practice of democracy and a call for accountability from the high court.
