Police declared National University-Mall of Asia (NU-MOA) in Pasay City clear of a bomb threat Thursday after several hours of inspection and assessment.

According to a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort, Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito de Sesto said the authorities found no hazardous, explosive or suspected explosive materials inside the school.

Police are now working to identify the person behind the threat for appropriate legal action, De Sesto said.

Police officers and personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection remained on standby at the school in case emergency response was needed, he added.

NCRPO spokesperson Maj. Hazel Asilo said a member of NU's Safety Office received the threat through Messenger after it was posted on the school's Facebook page.

The threat was immediately reported to police at around 7:40 a.m. Thursday for verification and assessment.

The incident prompted authorities to conduct a security inspection of the campus.
