No apparent external injuries were found on the bodies of two individuals discovered inside a car along the southbound lane of the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX) in Victoria, Tarlac, based on the initial forensic examination conducted by authorities.
The Tarlac Police Provincial Office said the remains have already been identified and turned over to their respective families. The victims were identified as a 20-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man.
Initial reports also showed that the vehicle was found intact, with no signs of forced entry. Investigators noted that the car’s air circulation fan was still running when authorities opened the vehicle.
The families have requested that no autopsy be conducted on the remains, according to police. Authorities said further details are being withheld at the request of the families, who have asked for privacy as they grieve.
Police said investigations remain ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths, and urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and speculation, warning that such posts may cause further distress to the bereaved families.
