The Philippine National Police (PNP) has formed a new tracker team to pursue the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
The Special Action Force (SAF) is among the dedicated task forces deployed to locate and arrest dela Rosa, PNP spokesperson PCol. Allen Rae Co announced during a command conference at Camp Crame on Monday, October 26. The task force is led by PNP No. 2 man and Deputy Chief for Administration for the Senate General Wilson Lopez, RH Edniel Parrosa reported.
Meanwhile, the PNP said it has not received any surrender feelers from dela Rosa.
As of writing, the PNP said that dela Rosa remains in the country.
Despite this, the PNP clarified that they do not consider him as “static” in Mindanao.
Last week, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that they are offering a P50 million bounty for information leading to the arrest of the senator. In a press briefing, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla described him as “armed and dangerous.”
