

Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla revealed the death of an inmate allegedly involved in the murder of broadcaster Percival Mabasa, also known as Percy Lapid.
Remulla said that the inmate Crisanto Palara Villamor Jr., passed away last October 18.
"Ang sinasabi nila na he was rushed to the hospital at 2:30 (in the afternoon) unable to breathe. They tried to revive him but he was dead," Remulla told reporters on Thursday, October 20.
Authorities, currently, conduct an autopsy of the 42-year-old person deprived of liberty detained at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa.
Meanwhile, the family of Mabasa expressed sadness over the death of Villamor.
"We are deeply saddened by the report abt the mysterious death of the alleged middleman on the Percy Lapid killing inside the NBP facility," Roy Mabasa, the brother of the slain broadcaster, said in a statement.
