The Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression, according to PAGASA on Wednesday, July 2.
As of 3:00 AM, the tropical depression was located 2,660 kilometers east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 kilometers per hour, moving north-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, PAGASA reported that another Low Pressure Area (LPA) in East of Luzon is being monitored, which could also develop into a tropical depression within 24 hours. It was estimated, based on all available data, to be located 200 kilometers east-northeast of Casiguran, Aurora, or 235 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela.
According to the weather forecast, the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Nueva Ecija.
Meanwhile, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will also be experienced in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the rest of Central Luzon due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
The rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the Habagat.
