Two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) are being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Sunday, August 31, according to PAGASA.

As of 3 a.m., one LPA (LPA 08h) was spotted 90 km east-northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte. Meanwhile, another LPA (LPA 08i) was located 900 km east of Eastern Visayas.

The weather bureau stated that LPA 08h is “unlikely” to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, while LPA 08i has a “low” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the same period.

Due to the LPAs, cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Quezon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, the rest of Visayas, and the rest of CALABARZON will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon.

Localized thunderstorms are also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.
