The New York Knicks are headed back to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years after completing a dominant four-game sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers, capping their Eastern Conference run with a 130-93 victory in Game 4 on Tuesday (PH Time).

New York’s home team secured the Eastern Conference championship and the Bob Cousy Trophy, awarded to the conference playoff winner, while guard Jalen Brunson was unanimously named Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player and received the Larry Bird Trophy.

The Knicks extended their winning streak to 11 games and notched their second consecutive 4-0 series sweep, overwhelming Cleveland in a wire-to-wire performance to clinch the series.

New York set the tone early, jumping to a 38-26 lead after the first quarter and stretching the margin to 68-49 at halftime. The Knicks continued to pull away in the third, leading 98-71 before closing out the blowout victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns led a balanced Knicks attack with 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a strong defensive presence, adding two steals and two blocks. Brunson finished with 15 points and five assists, while Mikal Bridges contributed 15 points and five assists.

Donovan Mitchell paced Cleveland with 31 points, including five 3-pointers, but the Cavaliers were unable to keep up with New York’s depth and efficiency.

Brunson, who guided the Knicks throughout their playoff surge, highlighted a team effort after the game as New York completed its long-awaited return to the league’s biggest stage.

The Knicks will face the winner of the Western Conference finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
