Newly crowned Miss Supranational 2026 Katrina Llegado has returned to the Philippines following her historic international pageant victory in Poland.
Llegado arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on August 27, where she was welcomed by supporters and representatives of the Miss Philippines Organization.
Sharing photos from her arrival, The Miss Philippines declared, “THE CROWN IS HOME AGAIN.”
“After 13 years, the Miss Supranational crown is back in the Philippines, and this time, it belongs to Katrina Llegado, Miss Supranational 2026,” the organization said, adding, “The Philippines has its Supra Queen again.”
Llegado secured the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational crown at the coronation ceremony in Poland on July 31, following Mutya Datul, who became the country’s first titleholder in 2013.
Her victory marked her first major international pageant win. Llegado previously represented the Philippines at Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 in Bolivia, where she finished as Quinta Finalista, and later placed in the Top 6 of Miss Universe Philippines 2025.
During the Miss Supranational competition, Llegado drew attention in a gumamela-inspired national costume and an evening gown by designer Rian Fernandez.
In the final question-and-answer portion, she was asked about the moment she stopped trying to become the woman the world expected and began becoming the woman she was meant to be.
“I always believe that we should never fit into a mold. We are perfectly imperfect. I am someone who struggles [with] perfection, but I’m here today doing my best and becoming my best version of myself,” Llegado answered.
“And here in Miss Supranational, I know [there is] a place for me, and this is becoming Supra—above and beyond,” she added.
During her homecoming, Llegado expressed gratitude to Filipino supporters who stayed up to watch the competition.
“Sa lahat ng sumuporta po, maraming maraming salamat! I wouldn’t be here without you guys. Maraming maraming salamat sa pagpupuyat at walang sawang suporta. Finally, nakamit na po natin ang korona,” she said.
“This is all for you and I’m so, so happy to celebrate this with you,” she added.
The beauty queen admitted that she was still adjusting to the significance of her victory.
“It feels surreal. Hindi pa din po ako makapaniwala, and it’s a dream come true. And now it’s a reality, and now I’m so happy. Thank you so much,” she said.
Llegado is scheduled to take part in various homecoming activities and public appearances through September 7, with a homecoming parade also expected to be held in her honor.
