Actor Joseph Marco reflects on the completion and success of the television adaptation of My Husband is a Mafia Boss, describing the project as a demanding but fulfilling journey from concept to screen.
Marco plays Ezekiel Roswell in the series, opposite Rhen Escaño, who portrays Aemie Romero in the romantic crime drama inspired by the popular Filipino Wattpad novel written by the late Diana Marie Maranan, widely known by her pen name Yanalovesyouu.
In an online post, Marco recalled how the production began as an early-stage idea discussed in a story conference room before evolving into a full series that required months of work, collaboration, and sacrifice from the cast and crew.
“Just a few months ago, we were sitting in that story conference room… it was simply an idea,” he said, adding that the team could only hope they would “bring it to life the way it deserved.”
He said the project involved “months of hard work, sacrifices, growth, and memories,” noting that there were moments of doubt and exhaustion along the way, but the team pushed through together to complete the series.
Marco expressed gratitude for the experience and the people involved, saying the production was both a challenge and a privilege. He added that what started as a vision had become something they were proud of as they reached the finish line.
He ended his message with a nod to his character and the show’s future, signing off as “Mr. and Mrs. Roswell” and teasing the possibility of a second season.
