

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) is now tracking a suspect involved in another “gas-and-run” incident after a man fled without paying for fuel he purchased in Quezon City.
According to QCPD, the incident occurred around 3:16 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, at a gasoline station along Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Bahay Toro. The suspect, described as a man riding a blue sedan, allegedly filled up fuel worth ₱1,500 before speeding off without settling his bill.
The gasoline station attendant immediately reported the incident to authorities, prompting the QCPD to issue a flash alarm and launch an investigation.
Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the gas station and nearby establishments to identify the suspect and trace his escape route.
Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with the investigation. Anyone with information about the man captured on CCTV is advised to report to the nearest police station or contact E911 or the QC Helpline 122.
Fourth gas-and-run case in QC
This latest incident brings the total number of reported gas-and-run cases in Quezon City to four.
In January 2026, an unregistered motorcycle fled after refueling ₱800 worth of gasoline at a station along Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, in March 2026, a white SUV also left without paying after refueling ₱2,200 worth of diesel along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Barangay Doña Imelda. Suspects in both incidents remain at large.
The third case was reported in April 2026 in Payatas, where suspects allegedly fled from a gas station on Payatas Road in Barangay Bagong Silangan without paying for around ₱1,500 worth of fuel. Two suspects were arrested, while one remains at large.
