

FEU-Diliman bowed out of the NBA Rising Stars Invitational after an 81-75 loss to Japan’s Tottori Johoku on Thursday at the OCBC Arena.
Tied at 64 in the fourth, the Baby Tamaraws faltered as Genji Fukumoto sparked a 7-0 run to give Johoku a 71-64 lead.
The Japanese side sealed the win with an 8-2 burst capped by Komei Oda’s basket for a 79-70 cushion with 1:43 left.
Prince Cariño and JB Cagurungan scored 16 points each for FEU-Diliman, while Dulin and Jose Lopez added 11 and 10, respectively.
Philemon Talmon led Johoku with 20 points and 23 rebounds, while Fukumoto finished with 22 points, including five triples.
FEU-Diliman ended its campaign at 1-1 after opening with a win over Hwa Chong Institution.
Meanwhile, UST Senior High School was also eliminated in the girls’ division after losing to Australia’s Rowville Secondary College.
