The camp of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has again asked the Supreme Court to urgently resolve his motion for reconsideration and issue a temporary restraining order (TRO) against his possible arrest and surrender to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

In a manifestation dated October 27, lawyers led by Atty. Israelito Torreon sought a review of the high court’s May 20, 2026, decision denying the senator’s request for a TRO and status quo ante order.

Dela Rosa’s camp said recent developments, including a reported ₱50-million bounty and Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla’s description of the senator as “armed and dangerous,” threaten his constitutional rights.

“No court has found Petitioner Dela Rosa to be armed and dangerous,” the lawyers told the Supreme Court, warning that the designation, combined with a bounty, places the senator’s “right to life under Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution in present and serious danger.”

Dela Rosa faces an ICC crimes against humanity case over alleged killings linked to the Duterte administration’s anti-drug campaign, during which he served as Philippine National Police chief.

The Supreme Court previously clarified that its May ruling covered only the requested interim relief and did not resolve the main issues raised in the senator’s petition.
