Two student managers and two utility personnel from Ateneo de Manila University appeared before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) – Homicide Division on Wednesday morning, June 24, in connection with the deaths of student-athletes Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili.

The individuals were subpoenaed by the bureau as part of its ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatalities, which have drawn public attention and prompted a formal inquiry.

Meanwhile, Ateneo de Manila University President Fr. Roberto Yap is expected to appear before the NBI on Friday. He was earlier issued a subpoena duces tecum requiring him to submit relevant records and documents related to the case.

Authorities have yet to release further details as the investigation continues.
