Swedish pop star Zara Larsson expressed her gratitude to Filipino fans after holding her highly anticipated “Midnight Sun” concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Friday, October 30.
Larsson shared several highlights from her Manila show on social media, thanking her supporters for an unforgettable evening filled with love and enthusiasm.
“MANILA!!!! That was so so so so amazing! Thank you thank you thank you thank you,” Larsson wrote in her post.
The singer also delighted Filipino fans with her energetic performances of her popular hits, including “Lush Life,” “Never Forget You,” “Symphony,” “Ruin My Life,” and “Midnight Sun.”
One of the memorable moments of the concert was her interaction with the audience, including inviting a fan onstage to perform the choreography of “Lush Life.”
Larsson also embraced Filipino culture during her visit, dancing to the local classic “Bongga Ka 'Day” backstage and learning the Filipino slang word “bakla” from a fan.
The Manila concert marked Larsson's first solo show in the Philippines, nearly nine years after her previous appearance at the “In the Mix” music festival at the Mall of Asia Arena in 2017.
The “Midnight Sun” tour is in support of her fifth studio album of the same name. Following her Manila performance, the Swedish singer is scheduled to wrap up the Asian leg of her tour in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 1.
