President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. released a new video statement on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, December 10, announcing that former Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co's passport had been cancelled.
He added that he has directed the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to coordinate with Philippine embassies abroad to ensure Co cannot evade authorities.
The President also reported that another person of interest, Sara Discaya, is now under government custody. “Kaugnay naman kay Sarah Discaya, sumuko naman siya kahapon sa NBI at nasa kustodiya na siya ng NBI,” he said, noting that authorities are awaiting the formal release of her arrest warrant.
Marcos assured the public that progress is moving swiftly in the probe.
The President concluded with a message of confidence in the justice system, echoing his Facebook caption: “Folks, the justice system is working. No name, no wealth, no influence can prevent justice from reaching.”
