Feb 17 (Reuters) - YouTube said on Tuesday that some users were experiencing issues accessing the video-sharing platform, after outage-tracking website Downdetector reported global outages.
“We’re aware some of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now. Our teams are aware, and we’ll provide updates as soon as we have them,” YouTube said.
There were over 150,000 reports of outages in the U.S. at 9 pm ET, compared with the peak of over 320,000 users an hour earlier, Downdetector showed.
Downdetector's numbers are based on user-submitted reports. The actual number of affected users may vary.
YouTube was also facing issues in countries including India, Britain, Australia, and Mexico, according to DownDetector.
