A woman driving an SUV was ambushed by motorcycle-riding gunmen along Chino Roces Avenue in Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City, according to an initial report Thursday.

According to a report by RH Noche Cacas, the gunmen, seen to be riding in tandem, fired multiple shots at the SUV.

More than eight bullets struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, according to the initial report.

The woman was reportedly alone in the SUV at the time of the incident. Her identity has yet to be established.

She was taken to a hospital following the shooting. It was not immediately confirmed whether she sustained injuries.

The incident caused a slight slowdown in traffic along the area.

Authorities have yet to release further details about the shooting and the identities and whereabouts of the gunmen.
