A 41-year-old woman was seized by authorities after being unable to pay for a rebonding hair treatment in a salon in Tutuban Center Mall in Manila, according to a Monday report by RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort.
According to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) the suspect, a vendor, inquired after the salon’s services before availing herself of the treatment. The salon manager was reportedly the one to tell the suspect about the services offered.
However, after the treatment, it was discovered that the suspect did not have the money, amounting to ₱3,500, to pay for it.
Consequently, the salon manager brought the woman to the Security Office of Tutuban Center, after which she was turned over to the Dagupan Outpost.
The suspect refused to speak. She was subjected to a physical examination in a hospital before being put behind bars.
The woman is facing a case in violation of Revised Penal Code Article 315 or Swindling/Estafa. She is undergoing inquest proceedings at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
