First Lady Liza Marcos shared photos from the “Salo-Salo sa Palasyo” held at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang on Monday, September 14, as part of the celebration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 69th birthday.
In a social media post, the First Lady described the celebration as a “beautiful way to celebrate a birthday,” highlighting not only the gathering at Malacañang but also various activities held simultaneously across the country.
Thousands of supporters of the President gathered at the Kalayaan Grounds for the celebration.
Various government services, assistance and programs were also brought to different cities nationwide as part of the birthday activities.
“What touched me most was that his birthday became an opportunity to help others — bringing government services, assistance and programs closer to thousands of our kababayans all over the country,” Liza Marcos said.
She also quoted the President as saying that there is “no better birthday gift than seeing Filipinos helping fellow Filipinos.”
The First Lady ended her post by greeting Marcos a happy 69th birthday.
President Marcos’ birthday is officially celebrated every September 13.
