The global fandom platform Weverse teased on Wednesday that two major P-pop groups are set to join its international fan community, sparking excitement among Filipino fans online.
In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) on March 11, the platform hinted at the arrival of “two hottest P-POP groups.”
According to Weverse, the two artists have achieved major milestones in the global music scene.
“The first-ever Filipino artist to enter the Spotify Global Top Artists Chart,” the platform wrote in its teaser.
It also hinted at another group described as “the first-ever Southeast Asian artist to enter the Billboard Year-End Social 50 Top 10.”
The official announcement of the two P-pop groups joining the platform is scheduled for Thursday, March 12.
Fans quickly speculated that the silhouettes shown in the teaser correspond to the P-pop groups BINI and SB19. The images appear to show eight female members and five male members, matching the lineup of the two acts.
BINI is composed of members Maloi, Colet, Jhoanna, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Sheena, and Aiah, while SB19 consists of Pablo, Josh, Ken, Stell, and Justin.
