

Several local government units (LGUs) have suspended classes on Thursday, July 9, as Typhoon Inday threatens parts of the country.
Based on announcements from local government units, class suspensions have been declared in the following areas:
National Capital Region (NCR)
- Las Piñas City – All levels, public and private schools
Central Luzon (Region III)
- Aurora – All levels, public and private schools (July 9 to 10)
- San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan – No face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools
MIMAROPA
- Culion, Palawan – All levels, public and private schools, including school personnel
Western Visayas (Region VI)
- Antique
- Barbaza – All levels, public and private schools (July 8 afternoon to July 10)
Negros Island Region
Negros Occidental
- Bago City – Kindergarten to Senior High School
- Binalbagan – All levels, public and private schools (July 9 and 10)
- Don Salvador Benedicto – All levels, public and private schools
- Himamaylan City – All levels, public and private schools
- La Carlota City – No face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools
Negros Oriental
- All levels, public and private schools
- Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)
- Maguindanao del Sur – All levels, public and private schools
SOCCSKSARGEN (Region XII)
- Banga, South Cotabato – All levels, public and private schools
As of 2:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Typhoon Inday has weakened into a typhoon while remaining inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The following areas in Luzon have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 by PAGASA:
- Batanes
- Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands)
- Isabela
- Northeastern portion of Quirino
- Apayao
- Northern portion of Abra
- Kalinga
- Eastern portion of Mountain Province
- Eastern portion of Ifugao
- Ilocos Norte
- Northern portion of Aurora
- Northern and central portions of Catanduanes
