

Face-to-face classes in several areas across the country have been suspended on Tuesday, August 18, due to expected heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.
Among the areas that announced class suspensions are:

Meanwhile, Malacañang has ordered government offices and schools to implement alternative work arrangements on Tuesday in Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro due to the southwest monsoon.
Local chief executives may also implement localized class and work suspensions in their respective areas, in accordance with existing laws, policies, and regulations.
