

Several local government units (LGUs) have suspended classes on Wednesday, July 8, in anticipation of the effects of Super Typhoon Inday as it continues to threaten parts of the country.
Based on announcements issued by local government units, the following areas have declared class suspensions:
Metro Manila
- Caloocan City (Classes from daycare to senior high school are suspended, with schools shifting to asynchronous learning)
- Navotas City (Classes from daycare to senior high school are suspended, with schools implementing alternative delivery modes of learning)
- Malabon City (Classes at all levels are suspended, with schools shifting to an alternative delivery mode)
Negros Island Region
- Canlaon City, Negros Oriental (Classes at all levels, both in public and private schools, are suspended)
Authorities are urging the public to continue monitoring official announcements from their respective local government units and the Department of Education (DepEd) for possible additional class suspensions as severe weather conditions persist.
As of 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Super Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) placed the following areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal:

- Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands
- The northern and central portions of Isabela (Santo Tomas, Aurora, Santa Maria, Quezon, San Mariano, Naguilian, Dinapigue, Roxas, Luna, Delfin Albano, City of Cauayan, San Pablo, Ilagan City, Benito Soliven, Tumauini, Cabagan, Reina Mercedes, San Manuel, Palanan, Cabatuan, Quirino, Divilacan, Gamu, Mallig, Maconacon, Burgos, San Guillermo, Angadanan, Alicia, San Mateo)
- Apayao
- The eastern portion of Kalinga (Pinukpuk, City of Tabuk, Rizal)
- The northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag)
- The northern and central portions of Catanduanes(Pandan, Caramoran, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga, Gigmoto, Baras, San Miguel)
