Classes were suspended in several areas across the country on Thursday, August 27, due to the expected inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon, or 'habagat.'

Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)

• Kibungan, Benguet — Day care to senior high school, including ALS; suspended until August 28. Schools to shift to alternative learning modalities.

Central Luzon

• San Simon, Pampanga — Face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools, except Concepcion Integrated School; suspended until August 28. Schools to shift to alternative delivery modes.
• Santo Tomas, Pampanga — Face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools; suspended until August 28. Schools to shift to alternative learning modes.
• San Fernando, Pampanga — All classes in public and private schools suspended on August 27.
• Pampanga State University — All face-to-face classes, except School of Law, suspended from August 27 to 30 due to expected bad weather. Classes shift to synchronous online learning.

Meanwhile, classes and work were suspended in Botolan, Zambales, in observance of the Feast of Saint Monica.

In CALABARZON, face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools were suspended in parts of Tanza, Cavite—including Poblacion I-IV, Biwas, Bucal, Daang Amaya I-III, Mulawin, Sanja Mayor, Tanauan, and Julugan I-VIII—from August 27 to 28 due to the town fiesta.
