Classes were suspended in several areas across the country on Monday, August 24, due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
The following areas announced class suspensions or shifts to alternative learning modalities:
Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
Abra: No face-to-face classes will be held in public and private schools. Schools will shift to alternative learning modalities. Government offices will also implement alternative work arrangements.

Benguet
- Bakun: No classes at all levels in public and private schools.
- Tublay: No classes at all levels in public and private schools.
- Atok: No face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school in public and private schools. Schools will shift to alternative learning modalities.
- Kapangan: No classes from preschool to senior high school in public and private schools.
- Kibungan: No classes from preschool to senior high school in all public schools.
- Itogon: No face-to-face classes from preschool to elementary in public and private schools.
- Tuba: No face-to-face classes from preschool to elementary in public and private schools.
Central Luzon
Pampanga
- San Simon: No classes at all levels in public and private schools from August 24 to 28.
- Sto. Tomas: No classes at all levels in public and private schools from August 24 to 28.
- Magalang: No face-to-face classes and work in government offices in observance of the Feast of St. Bartholomew.
Ilocos Region

- No classes at all levels in public and private schools.
