Wage hike for Central Luzon workers effective on Thursday
by Jim Fernandez30 October 2025
Workers in Central Luzon can now enjoy higher wages effective on Thursday, October 30, announced the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The daily minimum wage for the first tranche has been set at ₱475 to ₱570. For the second, which will be rolled out on April 16, 2026, it will be further raised to ₱515 to ₱600, as ordered by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board.
The monthly minimum wage for domestic workers in the region has likewise been pegged at ₱6,500.
The wage hike seeks to ease the impact of rising prices of basic goods and ensure fair pay for workers, according to RH 29 Boy Gonzales.
