Vice President Sara Duterte’s lawyer, Atty. Michael Poa, said Duterte remains focused on her work despite the impending impeachment trial against her.

During a Monday press conference, Poa said Duterte hired a legal team to manage her legal obligations so she may carry on with her duties “unhampered.”

“Okay lang siya, business as usual po parati ang ating bise presidente, tuloy-tuloy lang po ‘yung trabaho niya, kaya nga niya binuo itong legal team nang maaga para masigurado siya, dahil na-anticipate na natin ang impeachment laban sa kanya, in fact mayroon nang first round last year,” he said.

On the same day, Poa and other lawyers from Duterte’s legal team brought five suitcases containing her response to the charges laid against her to the Senate.
