

Vice President Sara Duterte visited Sen. Rodante Marcoleta at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital on Tuesday, July 7.
The visit came after Duterte did not appear at the opening of the Senate impeachment trial earlier in the day.
In a Damdaming report by RH Edniel Parrosa, separate reliable sources confirmed to DZRH News that Duterte arrived at the PNP General Hospital at around 7:40 a.m.
Her convoy, consisting of three vehicles, departed Camp Crame at approximately 8:35 a.m.

In an interview with the reporters, the PNP General Hospital confirmed that the Vice President visited the senator.
According to PLtCol Benaly Bayani, chief of the PNP Internal Medicine, Duterte visited Marcoleta between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
Marcoleta was arrested in connection with a plunder case involving an alleged nondisclosure of P75 million campaign donations.
The 72 year-old senator remains under medical observation at the PNP General Hospital following his arrest.
As of 8:00 a.m., the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Marcoleta continued to be monitored for chest pain previously reported and newly reported nape pain.
He also underwent laboratory tests on Monday morning after fasting overnight.
Authorities said recommendations regarding the senator's treatment or possible medical procedures will depend on the results of the laboratory examinations.
Earlier, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said that it may take up to two days for Marcoleta to complete his medical procedures before he is formally brought before the anti-graft court for the return of warrant proceedings and, eventually, the issuance of a commitment order determining where he will be detained
Security at the PNP General Hospital was also tightened on Monday as Marcoleta remained under police custody.
