Vice President Sara Duterte will be flying to Qatar on Monday, and has plans to visit her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, currently confined in The Hague, Netherlands, for her birthday.
In a report on MBC TV Network News, Duterte will be meeting the Filipino communities in Doha, Qatar, then in the Netherlands.
She is expected to see the Doha Filipino community on May 27, and head for the Netherlands on May 30 to stay with her father. She has chosen to celebrate her birthday on May 31 in his company. Afterwards, she will visit him again on June 2 and 3.
In between visits with the elder Duterte, the Vice President will be taking part in “a peaceful gathering” with fellow Filipinos in front of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
She will be returning to the Philippines on June 4.
Meanwhile, the articles of impeachment filed against her will be read before the Senate on June 2, and the impeachment court is set to convene on June 3.
