House Deputy Speaker Rep. Paolo Ortega said on Sunday the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte is a constitutional mechanism for accountability, stressing that proceedings should be guided by evidence rather than emotion.

In an interview on DZRH’s Isyung Pambayan, the lawmaker called for an orderly and respectful trial, underscoring that the case must be decided on facts, not personal issues.

“Labanan na lang ng ebidensya at hindi emosyon,” said Ortega.
