Vice President Sara Duterte on Saturday denied knowing Rodulfo Gracioso Jr. or receiving any money from him, following statements made by Gracioso against her.

In a statement dated Sept. 26, Duterte said her lawyers were waiting for an official copy of Gracioso’s affidavit from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) before pursuing legal action against him.

“My lawyers are awaiting an official copy of the Gracioso affidavit from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) so they can begin working on the cases to be filed against him,” Duterte said.

She described Gracioso’s statements as a “media stunt” and an attempt to revive what she called a faltering impeachment case against her.

“Once we are done dismantling the lies contained in his testimony, it will end up in the trash bin—just like the one from Ramil Madriaga,” Duterte said.

Duterte also accused the Marcos administration of attempting to bring her down and alleged that it was seeking to advance Charter change, prevent the 2028 elections and remain in power.

She further said the public wants President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to undergo a drug test and answer questions related to the flood control scandal.

“The people want change,” Duterte said.

“No amount of political maneuvering, propaganda, or manufactured distractions can ultimately silence the Filipino people,” she added.
