Vice President Sara Duterte currently leads a national poll for presidential preferences, while Senator Christopher “Bong” Go is the majority’s preferred Vice President for the 2028 Presidential Elections.
The Pulse Asia Research Inc. survey was conducted from September 17 to 24, 2026 through face-to-face interviews with Filipinos across the country. The survey results are based on a sample of 2,400 Filipino adults.
Pulse Asia found that half or 50 percent of Filipinos would have voted for Duterte if the elections were held during the survey period, with former Vice President and incumbent Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo coming in second with 26 percent of votes, and Senator Raffy Tulfo backed by 12 percent.
Almost a third of Filipino adults (31%) said they would vote for Go as vice president. Senators Robinhood Padilla and Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV would have been supported by 19 percent and 17 percent of Filipinos, respectively. Fourteen percent would have voted for former Senator Grace Poe, and 10 percent for Senator Erwin Tulfo.
Leading up to and during the conduct of the interviews for this survey, an arrest warrant was issued against Vice President Duterte for three counts of grave threats, an issue also tackled during the impeachment trial against her.
Duterte posted a bail of ₱360,000 and told reporters prior to doing so that she felt unsafe and did not trust the police, the courts, and other authorities to protect her. Her arraignment was deferred indefinitely.
