Malacañang has assured the public that the upcoming impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte is not expected to disrupt the operations of the executive branch, emphasizing that government work will continue as normal despite political developments.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the administration remains focused on its programs and services and that no issue—including the impeachment proceedings—is expected to cause delays in government operations.
Castro stressed that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will not allow administrative programs to be derailed by what she described as obstructionist actions, reiterating that governance and public service will continue uninterrupted.
She also noted that the Senate has its own constitutional mandate, expressing confidence that senators are fully aware of their responsibilities both as a legislative body and as an impeachment court.
Malacañang likewise expressed hope that lawmakers will act responsibly and complete their duties, including avoiding any form of session boycott that could affect legislative work.
The Palace further underscored that strengthening accountability and transparency in public service remains a priority, stressing that such processes are intended for the benefit of the Filipino people.
Castro added that the impeachment issue should not be used to deepen divisions among the public, warning against misinformation and fake news that could further polarize the situation.
