The chief of staff of Vice President Sara Duterte arrived at the Senate on Thursday as preparations continue for the continuation of Duterte’s impeachment trial.
Lawyer Zuleika Lopez went to the Senate to coordinate logistical arrangements, including room assignments and access to facilities that will be used during the proceedings, as reported by RH Raymund Dadpaas.
Lopez said she would work with the Office of the Senate Secretary, led by Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr., to ensure proper coordination ahead of the trial.
The prosecution panel earlier issued a subpoena requiring Lopez to testify next week in the impeachment case against Duterte.
The Senate is set to resume its impeachment proceedings on Monday, July 13 for the 4th fayd of Duterte’s trial.
