Visitors across various towns in Batangas continued to honor their departed loved ones at cemeteries this Saturday, November 1, in a peaceful observance with no reported incidents.
According to RH 30 Eric Dastas, police and volunteers remain on alert to ensure the safety and security of the crowd.
Authorities reminded visitors that sharp objects such as knives and blades, as well as drinking and gambling within cemetery grounds, remain strictly prohibited.
Meanwhile, no untoward incidents were reported in the monitored cemetery areas across the province.
Some people are planning to visit the graves on November 2, All Souls’ Day, to avoid the crowds.
On the otherhand, heavier traffic is expected later in the day as many are anticipated to return to the city, prompting authorities to advise motorists to exercise patience and caution.
