Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon said that more cases against individuals linked to the flood control scandal will be filed this week.
In an ambush interview in Las Piñas on Wednesday, December 10, Dizon said this includes cases against former DPWH Bulacan District Engineers Henry Alcantara and Brice Hernandez, as reported by RH Jecelle Ricafort
The Public Works Secretary also mentioned that more individuals will be recommended to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, when asked about his reaction to contractor Sarah Discaya’s personal choice to surrender to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Dizon responded, “Buti naman..dapat talaga makulong na siya.
He also thanked the Department of Justice (DOJ), the NBI, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for its swift action.
Sarah Discaya surrendered to the NBI on Tuesday, December 9. Soon after, her spokesperson, Atty. Cornelio Samaniego III said that it was the former’s “personal choice.”
