Typhoon Sinlaku outside PAR weakens to severe tropical storm

The typhoon Sinlaku, which is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), has weakened into a severe tropical storm as of Saturday, April 18.
As of 3 a.m. Sunday, the weather disturbance was last located 2,770 km east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h and gusts of up to 110 km/h, moving northwest at 25 km/h.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said that a ridge of high pressure area (HPA) continues to extend over Northern Luzon on Sunday.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
